Professional Experience Creating Social and Economic Value

Global Branding London is a UK-based company bringing together business development, education, tourism, digital innovation and community-focused project experience. Led by founders Ozlem Celik and Dr Metin Celik, the company develops practical initiatives that improve access to knowledge, employment, entrepreneurship and digital opportunities while supporting the wellbeing and participation of young people, families, immigrants, refugees and disadvantaged groups.

Our approach is based on the belief that professional expertise can generate both commercial value and positive social outcomes. We apply business and project management experience to challenges involving education, employability, community integration, emotional wellbeing, digital accessibility, sustainable tourism and local economic development.

Our Story in Action

Discover the people, experience and purpose behind Global Branding London and learn how our work brings together business expertise, community impact, digital innovation and sustainable destination development.

Twenty-Five Years of Experience

The foundations of Global Branding London are built on approximately 25 years of business, tourism and development experience. Before establishing his work in the United Kingdom, Dr Metin Celik led tourism, destination branding and local development initiatives in Türkiye, including projects designed to improve opportunities in economically disadvantaged communities.

These experiences demonstrated that tourism development is most valuable when its benefits extend beyond visitor numbers. Successful destination development should support local businesses, create employment, strengthen cultural identity and allow communities to participate directly in the visitor economy.

From International Business to Community Impact

After moving to the United Kingdom, Dr Metin Celik continued developing businesses and projects across tourism, destination branding, education and digital innovation. At the same time, he became increasingly involved in responding to the practical challenges experienced by immigrants, refugees, young people and families adapting to life in the UK.

With the support and active contribution of Ozlem Celik and a flexible network of project-based professionals, these activities developed into structured programmes offering educational content, practical guidance, mentoring, community engagement and access to specialist knowledge.

Supporting People to Participate and Progress

Our work initially responded to the needs of Turkish-speaking immigrants and refugees, but its reach developed to include people from a wider range of nationalities and backgrounds. The initiatives managed by our founders have addressed employment, business development, education, family relationships, emotional wellbeing, social participation and access to essential information.

Through digital resources, seminars, workshops, personalised support, community activities and partnership-based projects, this work has reached more than 106,000 people.

Helping Young People Build Stronger Futures

Education and youth development are central to our social impact work. Our projects have supported children, secondary school pupils, A-Level students, university students and graduates through education guidance, career planning, employability development, personality and aptitude assessments, mentoring and community activities.

Dr Metin Celik's experience teaching marketing, management and business in UK higher education has also informed programmes connecting academic knowledge with practical career and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Creating Routes into Employment and Enterprise

We have developed and managed programmes helping young people, graduates, skilled adults, immigrants and refugees understand the UK employment and business environment. These initiatives have included career planning, CV development, interview preparation, professional networking, recognition of international experience and access to employment support.

Our entrepreneurship work has covered business establishment, grants and finance, networking, international trade, eBay, Amazon, digital marketing and practical routes into self-employment.

Connecting Entrepreneurs Through Alesta Business Club

Founded by Dr Metin Celik, Alesta Business Club was created to help entrepreneurs navigate the UK business environment through professional connections, mentoring, peer learning and access to specialist guidance. The initiative has supported businesspeople in developing stronger networks, identifying funding opportunities and building confidence in the UK market.

Supporting Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience

Our community-focused initiatives have addressed stress, anxiety, isolation, displacement, cultural adjustment and the emotional pressures experienced by young people, families, immigrants and refugees. Programmes have brought together qualified professionals to provide awareness sessions, practical wellbeing workshops and routes to appropriate support.

Dr Metin Celik has completed Mental Health First Aid and related awareness training, strengthening his ability to recognise concerns, respond appropriately and signpost individuals towards professional services.

Bringing People Together

We recognise that community wellbeing also depends on social connection. Our founders have organised and supported community gatherings, wellbeing activities, youth meetings, outdoor events and professional networking opportunities designed to reduce isolation and strengthen relationships between newcomers and established local communities.

Turning Community Needs into Funded Projects

Dr Metin Celik has developed extensive experience in identifying community needs, preparing funding proposals and transforming ideas into deliverable projects. This work has included 75 grant applications, 11 successful project awards and approximately £115,000 secured to support education, youth development, sport, wellbeing, integration and community participation.

Working Across Communities

Although based in London, UK, our founders' community and professional activities have extended to Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Stoke-on-Trent, Lincoln, Nottingham and Northampton. This wider experience has helped Global Branding London understand how needs differ between communities and how programmes can be adapted to local circumstances.

Working Through Collaboration

Our founders have developed project and community experience involving public institutions, universities, business organisations, employment providers, health services and local support organisations. This collaborative approach allows specialist knowledge and local understanding to be brought together around the needs of each project.

Local Understanding, International Perspective

Today, Global Branding London brings together social impact, education, business expertise, tourism development and digital innovation. We design projects around real needs, assemble project-based specialists and develop accessible solutions that can be delivered locally, nationally or through international partnerships.

Our next stage is focused on expanding cooperation with UK and European partners, creating digitally accessible services and developing projects that produce measurable and sustainable benefits for people and places.
